Photo downloader

Instagram Photo Downloader for Public Posts

Paste a link to a public Instagram photo post and IGvide shows the image in the preview frame with a Save photo button. Works in any browser — no app, no account.

How to download an Instagram photo

  1. 01Open the post on Instagram. Photo posts have addresses like instagram.com/p/…
  2. 02Tap the Share icon and choose Copy link, or copy the address from your browser.
  3. 03Paste the link above and press Download. The photo appears in the frame.
  4. 04Press Save photo. On phones, long-press the image if your browser opens it instead of saving.

Better than a screenshot

A screenshot crops in the status bar and Instagram buttons and saves at your screen's resolution. Downloading gives you the image file Instagram serves for the post, without anything drawn on top.

That's useful for keeping copies of your own posts, saving a product photo a brand sent you permission to reuse, or archiving event photos a friend shared publicly.

What's supported

Single-image posts from public accounts are supported. For posts with several photos, the download service may only return one of them. If a post contains a video, IGvide shows the video instead, with a Save video button.

Private accounts, stories and profile pictures are not supported. IGvide never asks for your Instagram password.

Where saved photos go

On iPhone, saved images go to Files or, after a long-press and Add to Photos, your camera roll. On Android they land in Downloads and usually show up in Google Photos or your Gallery. On Windows and Mac they go to your Downloads folder.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download every photo from a carousel post?

Not always. For multi-photo posts the download service may only return one image.

Is the photo downloader free?

Yes. IGvide is free, with no account or payment.

Does IGvide work with private Instagram photos?

No. Only posts from public accounts work, and IGvide never asks for your login.

Is the photo resized or compressed?

IGvide passes on the file Instagram serves without editing it.

Download responsibly

IGvide only works with public posts and never asks for your Instagram login. Save only content you own or have permission to use — re-uploading someone else's work breaks our terms of service.
